Author: Mitch Keeler I had a fun time talking with Amy for the interview we did on this week’s edition of the podcast. I had so much fun, I figured I would share it with the rest of the out there. From marketing tips that I think any webmaster could take something away from to how great Lunarpages is - a good handful of topics are covered. Tune in and check it out. [] Here’s to the show notes as well. Be sure to leave a little feedback and let Amy know how she did. I know out of the number of interviews I’ve done with folks inside of the hosting industry, this one might be one of my personal favorites. Plus, how can you turn down the chance to hear dueling southern and Australian accents together in one show?

According to a Forbes article, Microsoft supposedly wants to aquire Yahoo for a very large amount of money (more digits than my calculator can compute). This would be the largest aquisition in IT history, right? Software maker Microsoft Corp. asked search engine operator Yahoo Inc. to re-enter formal negotiations for an acquisition that could be worth $50 billion, the New York Post reported on Friday. What would the result look like? The first thing that comes to mind is the name? Would it be called YahooSoft or MicroHoo? And of course, would the new company then be able to beat Google in search?

Author: Amy Armitage I read an interesting post this morning at about the super high levels of stress within our IT industry. It poses the question… what other industries do you believe experience the same stress levels? Should our system admins get danger money? ;)

Author: Mitch Keeler When was the last time you backed up your recent work, Web site or files? Looks like thanks to a little recent news we are all getting that reminder. The magazine Business 2.0 has lost their next issue due to not having a good backup. “The June issue of Business 2.0 magazine was inadvertantly deleted from the editorial server on April 23, according to a number of sources. And the backup server wasn’t working properly. The result? An entire issue down the drain just two weeks before press time.” - So what do I want you to go do right now? Backup! You never know when the worst might happen - and it is always better to be safe than sorry.
